Toronto Raptors’ Jakob Poeltl Sidelined Indefinitely with Sprained Ankle

Jakob Poeltl of the Toronto Raptors will be sidelined indefinitely.

Poeltl is suffering from a sprained left ankle and the team had already announced that he would miss tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Poeltl and Scottie Barnes lead the Raptors with 1.4 blocks per game this season.

In 36 games, the 28-year-old Austrian averaged 10.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

The Raptors have won two of three to this point in their six-game road trip.

They won in Memphis and lost in Sacramento before scoring a victory against the Warriors on Sunday.

They still have to face the Lakers, the Clippers and the Jazz, between now and Friday.

The Lakers stopped a series of four losses on Sunday, winning 106-103 over the Clippers.
