Feyenoord or PSV will face AZ at home in the quarter-finals of the KNVB Cup. NEC, FC Groningen and the winner of the eighth final between USV Hercules and SC Cambuur also drew a home match on Saturday evening.
The draw was broadcast live From Eretribune op ESPN and was performed by René van der Kooij and Tim Pieters, trainer and striker of USV Hercules respectively. The amateur club from Utrecht pulled off a huge stunt in the second round by beating Ajax 3-2 in Stadion Galgenwaard.

Six of the eight quarter-finalists were only known at the time of the draw. The cracker in the second round between cup holders PSV and FC Twente was canceled in December and was only played last week. Following a 3-1 home win over the Tukkers, PSV will play the eighth final against Feyenoord in De Kuip next Wednesday, January 24. Last week, the eighth final between USV Hercules and SC Cambuur was also canceled due to winter conditions. That match will still be played on Thursday, January 25.
NEC eliminated Go Ahead Eagles in the eighth finals in midweek and was linked by Van der Kooij and Pieters to ADO, the number three in the second level. This puts the residents of The Hague five places above FC Groningen, which awaits a reunion with Danny Buijs after eliminating Eredivisie club Excelsior (0-2 in Kralingen). The current coach of Fortuna Sittard will visit the Euroborg with his team, the stadium where he worked as a trainer between 2018 and 2022 and previously also had a successful period as a player. If Hercules in turn survives the catch-up match with Cambuur, another home match awaits in the next round, against Eredivisie low-flyer Vitesse.
The quarter-finals will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday February 6, 7 and 8. The draw for the semi-finals will be made the following Saturday, February 10. On February 27 and 29 it will then become clear which two clubs will qualify for the final battle in De Kuip, which will take place on Monday April 21.
