In preparation for the Australian Open, Dominic Thiem suffered a defeat against Andy Murray. At the invitation tournament in Melbourne’s Kooyong district (Kooyong Classic) he lost to the Scot 4:6 2:6 on Thursday.

Thiem will meet the Italian Matteo Berrettini on Friday. At the first Grand Slam tournament of the year, which begins on Sunday, he will face Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in the first round, according to the draw.
