The Rise of Zaccharie Risacher: NBA Draft Prospect Shines in EuroCup

Last night the NBA offered us some bangers, of course, but last night the Old Continent also saw two of its future nuggets, two of its “already nuggets”, progress towards Cholet and Salonika. And if Tidjane Salaun was rather discreet in the Mauges, Zaccharie Risacher – once again – shone brightly on the European scene, under the eyes of THE world specialist in NBA prospects…

He had given the Spurs owner a great evening a week before, and this time it was neither more nor less than the big name of the Draft Jonathan Givony (analyst for espn and boss of the DraftExpress site) who had made the trip all the way to Greece to see with these eyes this kid that everyone is talking about.

“Thessaloniki, Greece, in the legendary Nikos Gallis Arena, ahead of Aris Bourg in the Eurocup. Half a dozen NBA scouts in the room to see the potential No. 1 in the next draft Zaccharie Risacher.”

Further proof of the enthusiasm that father Zacch arouses, more and more comfortable on the floor and more and more mentioned as one of the first two choices of the next NBA Draft. And when the job of scout coincides with a little trip to the country of the craziest fans in Europe, Jonath was not going to deprive himself.

Zacharie Risacher in all this? Let’s say he blew the mind of the most influential guy in the world when it comes to NBA prospects, realize the importance of this sentence. Defense from the midfield, incessant deterrence, closed passing lines, contested drives. And on attack, mamma. 3/4 at 3-points, the guy is at 60% in EuroCup and it becomes annoying, dunks therefore aggressiveness (which he sometimes lacks), and in the end still an incredible record (20 points at 7/ 9 in shooting including 3/4 from the parking lot and 3/3 in throws) for a kid old enough to spend his nights watching Domingo live shows but who preferred to smash fathers twice a week.

Phenomenal game from potential No. 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher in a tough EuroCup win at Aris. 20 points on 10 FGAs with very few dribbles. Played strong D and made instinctual plays all game. Rare and impressive stuff from an 18-year old at this level of competition. pic.twitter.com/MjPuISuToI

“A phenomenal game from potential #1 Zaccharie Risacher in a solid EuroCup win in Salonika. 20 points on 10 shots, with very little dribbling. Strong defense and instinctive actions throughout the match. Something rare and impressive for an 18 year old at this level of competition”

JL Bourg has every chance of playing a EuroCup quarter-final at home, Zaccharie Risacher is progressing so much that he will end up being MVP of the competition even if some Paris players do not agree, and the POTUS of the Draft saw this with his own eyes. If we were the optimistic type, we would almost say that Zaccharie Risacher is living like a dream.
