A great badminton weekend was experienced in the Malaga town of Benalmádena with the dispute of the first round of the Primera Plata league, the third division of Spanish badminton clubs. Mercapinturas Almería has become the leader by adding three victories in as many matches. With the same balance but with a worse average of games won, Astures is in second position.
The team from Almeria managed to place themselves in first place in the standings by beating Maó (4-3), Palma (6-1) and CIDE (6-1). Second is Astures, who beat Cura Mora (5-2), Soria (4-3) and Guadalajara (6-1). Three more clubs are tied with 6 points with different averages of games won and lost, Recreativo IES La Orden B, Maó and Burgos.
The second half of the table is very even with up to six clubs that only managed to add one victory this weekend. They are Soria, Benalmádena B, Guadlajara, Palma, Cura Mora and CIDE.
In last position, without yet breaking its record of victories, is San Fernando Valencia B after having been defeated in all three matches.
