When Daniel Ginczek was introduced as a beacon of hope at Fortuna in the winter of 2022, there was a burden on his shoulders that he could no longer carry. But the temptation was great and the need even greater. Fortuna was stuck in a relegation battle, and sports director Klaus Allofs’ idea of providing his inexperienced coach Christian Preußer with an experienced striker like Ginczek was certainly an honorable one.
