With Jan Bogaert, Temse probably lost its most successful cyclist in the history of the municipality on Tuesday evening. His list of achievements includes the E3 Prize in Harelbeke, the Three Days of De Panne and the Scheldeprijs. But he was much more than a cyclist. This is testified by former mayor Luc De Ryck and his mentor Gaston Hoskens. Jan Bogaert was only 66 years old.
