Success for Dojo Ibiza judokas at Spanish Judo Cup and Balearic Team League

This weekend, the judokas from the Dojo Ibiza club Izan Alcoba and Adriana Ferrer took part in the Spanish Judo Cup of the cadet categoryheld in El Vendrell, Catalonia.

Izan lost in the first round after a tough fight. For its part, Adriana Ferrer passed the first round winning by ippon with good ground judo work. He lost the second fight but was able to enter the repechage and after winning three fights by ippon, he achieved a hard-fought and very creditable bronze on the national podium.. “It should be noted that Adriana, after winning national bronze last year in the children’s category, is one of the rookies and youngest in this category (cadet), making it even more difficult to achieve results,” the club points out.

The next competition will take place in Sant Antoni with the 4th school control, where the Ibizan judokas will try to get more points to be in the Balearic School Final, which this year is held in Ibiza on March 23.

On the other hand, a team made up of judokas from Dojo Ibiza and Judo Arabí traveled to Mallorca to compete in the Balearic Team League, achieving 2 victories in 4 matches played. The team was made up of Marc Vicent -66; Victor Roig -81; Pablo García -90 and Rodrigo Martínez +90kg. Sergio Pazos was missed in -73kg, who could not attend due to injury at the last minute but will be at the next event to be held in March.
