SCJN denies protection to Altos Hornos to challenge CCT in the main plant – El Sol de México

The National Union of Mining, Metallurgical, Steel and Similar Workers of the Republic described as regrettable and unfair the resolution of the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation that denied it protection to challenge the ownership of the Collective Contract of Work (CCT) of the main plant of Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA).

AHMSA points out that it is a Protection Union that was created in 2015, which used joints and gang members to beat and intimidate the real workers of Sections 147 and 288, with illegal processes against union freedom and rights abuses. labor and human rights of 19 thousand unionized and trusted workers.

In a statement, the National Mining Union headed by Napoleón Gómez Urrutia, points out that “now, the AHMSA company, through its puppets, deceives workers and their families and creates false hope for the resurgence of a company that is bankrupt due to corruption and “incompetence of the Ancira family.”

He specifies that “reality is different.” And he asks: “What have they done for the workers at the two plants in Monclova, in Coahuila? The company used that union to legitimize itself with violence, but what have they done besides repressing colleagues?”

“How many strikes did they carry out? How many wage increases and benefits that exceeded inflation did they get?”

The answer is clear: today they owe them more than 6 months of salary and they cannot even pay the security guards who are illegally subcontracted or outsourced.

The statement from the Mining Union also points out that the “unfair and regrettable resolution of the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation” should only invite us to reflect on what will happen to the acquired rights and justice of the thousands. of AMHSA workers.”
