Rugby: former Stade Français opener Jules Plisson joins Provence Rugby in Pro D2 next season

French international fly-half Jules Plisson will join Provence Rugby from next season, the current second in Pro D2 announced on Friday.

At 32, Jules Plisson has 19 caps with the French XV and has played 213 Top 14 matches at Stade français, La Rochelle, and Clermont where he has been playing since 2022 and is at the end of his contract at the end of the season . This season, he has only played 7 matches, including two as a starter.

Provence Rugby did not specify the duration of Jules Plisson’s contract, which includes a French champion title with Stade français (2015) and a European title with La Rochelle (2022). The fly-half will join his team at the same time as Welsh international George North, 118 caps, who signed up for two years with the Bouches-du-Rhône club in December.

At Provence Rugby, Jules Plisson will meet two old acquaintances in the person of Arthur Coville, the scrum half, and Julien Dupuy, the forwards coach, whom he had met in the capital.
