The Sports delegate, Bernardo Crespo, has announced some details of the second edition of the Mountain, Caving and Canyoning Conference organized by the City Council with the collaboration of the FAM, the Andalusian Mountain Federation, and the FEDME, the Federation Spanish Mountain Sports and Caving that will be held over two weekends. Thus, on June 21, 22 and 23, the II Mountain, Caving and Canyoning Conference will be held, which will continue on July 1 and 2.
“We want to repeat an event that we launched in September, a few days dedicated to mountains, active tourism, given the success that the first edition had in two weekends so that those people who have vacations can enjoy the city and its environment,” explained the municipal official, who appeared together with Isidro Toro, responsible for canyoning competitions at the FEDME and coordinator of this discipline also at the FAM.
“The idea is for people to come and get to know our environment, which offers a wide variety of opportunities to enjoy activities such as canyoning or via ferrata, which give so much life to active tourism companies in the area. As these are very technical things, we want to have the best professionals in the organization of these sessions and from there we have the FAM and the FEDME”, Crespo also pointed out.
For his part, the representative of the FEDME and the FAM explained that this year the conference will focus on the promotion of adventure tourism and mountain sports. Thus, during the day, participants will be offered the possibility of carrying out activities in the morning, dissemination and training in the afternoon, and in the evening, enjoying local gastronomy along with recreational proposals, taking advantage of the resources offered by Ronda and the province.
