Regional Funding for Sports Field Redevelopment in Sardinia: A Boost for Tourism and Social Inclusion

After the 500 thousand euro loan granted to the municipality of Carbonia for the renovation works of the Bacu Abis sports field, the region has awarded 400 thousand euros to the municipality of Domusnovas for the redevelopment and removal of architectural barriers
of the baseball field “E. Fini”, on the proposal of the regional councilor of the Sardinian League Michele Ennas.
«This is a loan that will allow baseball games to be played up to series B, softball games up to series A and the baseball championship for the visually impaired up to the top series and international level tournaments. – explains Michele Ennas -. Certainly a driving force for the tourist economy of the area beyond the summer period, in which the flow of most tourists is concentrated. Above all, we have also given disabled people the opportunity to access this sporting activity.»
The municipal council of Domusnovas thanked the regional administration for the sensitivity shown on these important issues of social inclusion and the Hon. Michele Ennas for bringing the request to the Regional Council.
