One of the best tennis players in the world, Koko Goff, said on social networks that it was the worst she had ever seen.

“The cartoonist decided we all looked awful. This style is fine for a cartoon, but not for a post that aims to single out the players,” she said.

Another American, Jessica Pegula, commented on the picture in a few words: “We are so ugly!” she wrote on the social network “X”.

Goff later clarified that she actually didn’t feel upset about the image. This caused a lot of fun among American tennis players, but they did not understand why the athletes were made so ugly in the picture.

“I sent a message to the US Tennis Association asking what the point of the joke was, but I didn’t hear back,” Goff said in Australia.
