Avital Carroll is making her comeback at the Freestyle World Cup competitions in Waterville Valley. The 27-year-old ÖSV moguls ace will be in action on Friday in the Moguls and on Saturday in the Dual Moguls competition for the first time since she suffered an ankle injury at the start of the World Cup in Ruka at the beginning of December.
When she was diagnosed, there was talk of a break of at least eight weeks, but now the American-born woman is returning to action a little earlier than expected.
“I’m so excited to be competing again. My injury was difficult to accept at first, but once I was able to deal with it, I worked hard in the gym, physical therapy and mentally to come back stronger,” Carroll said. Katharina Ramsauer is also at the start alongside her.
