The sidewalks are white, as are the roofs in Nogent-le-Rotrou (Eure-et-Loir).

Yes, the snow did indeed fall on the capital of Perche on the night of January 8 to 9, 2024. A first since February 10, 2021.

As announced, the city woke up under a thin coat of snow, 2 to 3 centimeters at most.

Even if the technical services of the town of Nogent-le-Rotrou have been working to salt the main roads since 4 a.m., the snow is still present on the roofs of homes, in the Nogent parks, and at the Château des Counts of Perche.

This small layer of snow would have caused a traffic accident, near Bricomarché on the Nogent-le-Rotrou ring road, shortly before 9 a.m., according to Info-Radar Eure et Loir.

If the roads in the city center were clear, access to the François-Mitterrand car park via rue Villette-Gâté was more complicated. Several motorists had to turn back to park.

A few flakes could still fall in the afternoon.
