NFL Announces Teams Hosting Games in Europe for 2024 Season

The NFL announced which teams will host a game in Europe next year rather than a home game.

The Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars will all host a game in London, while the Carolina Panthers will do so in Munich. Opponents and dates will be announced along with the rest of the NFL spring schedule.

The NFL will not play a game in Mexico City due to renovations at Estadio Azteca, but has previously announced a game at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil. We still do not know the teams that will participate in this meeting.

The Bears and Vikings will play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while the Jaguars will return to Wembley Stadium. The Panthers game will take place at Allianz Arena.

“Bringing our games to more fans around the world is a major priority for the league and its 32 teams. We are excited to return to London and Munich in 2024,” said the league’s Executive Vice President of Team Affairs and Events, Peter O’Reilly.

When the NFL implemented a 17-game schedule in 2021, it created a formula that alternated AFC and NFC teams between nine and eight home games per season. Each conference team that plays nine home games is eligible to host one international game. The Jaguars, who are in the AFC, have a separate agreement to host home games in London.

NFL owners agreed last season to increase the international game limit to eight starting with the 2025 season.

The Bears, Vikings and Jaguars have international marketing rights in the United Kingdom, under the NFL’s global market program, while the Panthers have the rights in Germany.
