New York Knicks Eyeing New Additions to Boost Squad Depth

The New York Knicks are going to keep moving. Despite being really happy with the acquisition of OG Anunoby, in the Big Apple they understand that they need to incorporate new pieces for the team to function as they really want, especially since the depth of the squad raises many doubts.

In numerical terms, two players who contributed a lot, RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, have left so that one can arrive, Anunoby. For this reason, the team’s second unit looks really empty at times; so much so that last night the bench contributed only 7 of the 113 points that were achieved against the Washington Wizards. This is not liked in New York territory.

The team’s own coach, Tom Thibodeau, has indicated in a press conference that they are short of personnel. This is how the head coach explained that Anunoby played up to 86 minutes in a back-to-back. Well, they want to remedy it with the arrival of a guard that contributes in attack; something that journalist Marc Stein certifies when he points out that the Knicks are interested in Jordan Clarkson.

That’s how it is. Following the line of other reports such as the one that points to Bruce Brown, or others that point out names such as Malcolm Brogdon from Portland, Terry Rozier from Charlotte or Alec Burks from Detroit, now it is the Utah Jazz player who would be in the target of the Knicks, who know they need to do something for the team to take a new step forward in reliability.

More NBAList of top scorers in NBA history

As for the price they should pay for Clarkson, it’s unclear what they would ask from Salt Lake City. The good performance of the Jazz in recent weeks has revalued their pieces, so it would not come cheap. Furthermore, since the end of the year we know that up to six teams have targeted the scorer in their future agenda. It sounds like a fantastic signing, but whether they can make it a reality is a different matter.
