The inauguration of the ‘Sports Address’ was held on 14 October at the Caprino lower secondary school, in the presence of the local mayors, representatives of scholastic, sports and university institutions, pupils and their families. , an experimental project that will offer the possibility of enhancing sports practice. Pupils who had chosen this option when enrolling in sixth grade in January will be able to practice five sports in the afternoon for the entire school year, with an additional three hours in addition to the two curricular hours. This is not just a simple course, among the many that the school offers to all students, from alpine skiing to swimming, from baseball to athletics, from sports dance to badminton.

The Sports Course is a way of teaching, interacting with the extraordinary environment of the Baldo-Garda area, learning new skills and new cultural and social competences. For the current school year, students will practice trekking, rowing, fencing, climbing and tennis, thanks to the collaboration with our sports partners: CAI Section of Caprino, Canottieri Bardolino, Verona Scherma, XAdventure, Tennis Caprino. Each sport will be practiced for six consecutive weeks, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, for a total of approximately thirty weeks of sport.

The school’s desire is to move from an experimental project to a structural activity. For this reason, the precious support of the financing bodies will be fundamental, which this year with great generosity have made it possible to contain the registration fee requested from families. In January the school will be ready to accept twenty new enrollment applications for the 2024/2025 school year. The collaboration with local associations will expand to offer new and stimulating experiences, such as sailing, horse riding and Parkour. In the province of Verona there are only 2 other sports schools, so for us it is a great satisfaction to have managed to set up such an ambitious project.
