Naomi Osaka Suffers Defeat in Brisbane After Comeback Victory

After her comeback victory, Naomi Osaka suffered a defeat in her second game after returning to the tennis tour.

The former world number one lost in the second round in Brisbane on Wednesday to number 16 seeded Czech Karolina Pliskova in a thriller 6:3, 6:7 (4), 4:6.

The Japanese, who became a mother for the first time last summer, played her first tournament in 15 months. At the start she defeated the German Tamara Korpatsch.
