NCAA – Maxime Raynaud and Stanford once again beat Arizona, No. 4 in the country, to end the year 2023.
Maxime Raynaud and Arizona, it was a long story in 2023. In February, he and Stanford achieved the feat against the No. 4 in the country, a month before being knocked out in the PAC-12 final tournament by these same Wildcats.
This Sunday, December 31, it was against Arizona that the Cardinal ended the year 2023. Beaten to the wire by Arizona State for the first game of the PAC-12 regular season two days earlier, the Californian university program recovered by dominating the Wildcats, still ranked No. 4 in the country by Associated Press and the coaches, with a score of 100 to 82.

Maxime Raynaud still productive
A domicile, le freshman Thus Carlyle enjoyed himself (28 points) in the same way as his teammate Spencer Jones (21 points at 8/9 on shots). The prospect Andrej Stojakovic added 16 points and Maxime Raynaud was productive (12 points on 5/7 shooting, including 2/3 3-pointers, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 block in 24 minutes). Above all, the Cardinal broke their record for 3-point baskets (16, out of 25 attempts) in a game and limited Arizona on quick play. The Wildcats have only scored 6 points in transition compared to 18.7 on average so far.
