Man Threatens Passerby with Knife and Makes Anti-Semitic Remarks in Paris Criminal Court Hearing

It was almost 9 p.m. when, on December 11, Kevin K., 47, left his home heavily intoxicated and armed with a forty-centimeter kitchen knife. Several passers-by see him muttering, wandering along the sidewalk, between avenue des Ternes and boulevard Pereire, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. Others also hear him shouting “Allah akbar” several times. Then he walks towards a woman and shouts at her violently: “What are you doing here? Are you zoned out? Are you Jewish? ” Disconcerted, the passerby barely has time to respond in the negative before Kevin K. approaches her: “If you have a problem, I’ll put my fist in your face, that’s what could have happened to you. happen,” he says, pointedly showing the knife stuck in the waistband of his pants. In the process, he threatened yet another man, before being arrested on the public highway.

During the search of his home, the police found numerous knives – including a butcher’s sheet –, a baseball bat, an ax, but also a Muslim rosary, a religious book and a sweatshirt in the colors of the flag of Palestine.
