From January 26 to 28, the first stage of the LTS Cup for the U14 age group took place in Riga.
The only representative of the Liepāja Tennis Sports School in this competition, Paula Gurecka, was seeded with number 3.
After winning by a landslide, Paula fought her way to the finals of the competition, where she won the gold medal.
On January 27 and 28, Jelgava hosted the “Jelgava TK Award Competition” for the youngest tennis players in the U8, U9 and U10 age groups.
The Liepāja Tennis Sports School was represented in this competition by Rudolfs Janens, Matijas Bushkevics, Robins Alksnis, Amanda Terēza Załeska, Dana Karpenko, Marta Fridrihsone, Elsa Pung, Odrija Ozoliņa and Arina JeĽeckiha in the U8 age group, Kārlis Sprogis, Aksels Jekševics, Rihards Burgis, Keita Siliņa, Lote Grietēna, Katrīne Klaudija Samoilova, Jūlija Meier and Keita Siliņa in the U9 age group, as well as Ernests Kreits, Leo Pohevičs, Valters Valdmanis, Emma Laukagale and Beatrice Vecbrāle in the U10 age group.
Among the Liepaja people, the youngest Liepaja players performed the best – Dana Karpenko with a silver medal and Robins Alksnis with a bronze medal in the U8 age group.
On January 28, in Liepāja, in the LOC tennis hall, the JIL LTSS prize competition for the U12 age group was held.
In the boys’ competition, eight participants competed for victory, four of whom were students of the Liepāja Tennis Sports School, while in the girls’ competition, 15 participants participated in the tournament, ten of whom were from Liepāja.
In the boys’ competition, Emils Latish from Liepāja won the competition, who beat another person from Liepāja – Ernest Škuburas, who thus won the silver medal.
Hugo Ozoliņš from Mārupe TS won the bronze in the small final.
Meanwhile, in the girls’ competition, Jaroslava Golovanova from Liepāja won the JIL LTSS award, Alina Oleksiienko from Ukraine (Tennis My Life) took 2nd place, and Elizabete Stone from Liepaja took 3rd place.
