Legitimate! Tajon Buchanan Now Belongs to Inter Milan

Milan

Inter Milan got new players in the transfer market this winter. He is Canadian national team defender Tajon Buchanan.

Buchanan was brought in from Belgian club Club Brugge with a tag of 7 million euros plus bonuses, Friday (5/1/2024) evening WIB. Buchanan has been in the city of Milan since two days ago to undergo medical tests.

Once the medical tests were completed, Buchanan signed a 4.5 year contract which will keep him at the Giuseppe Meazza until June 2028. Unfortunately Buchanan cannot be played this weekend when they meet Hellas Verona.

This is because Buchanan has the status of a non-EU player so he has to undergo a work permit registration process.

“A long journey that started in Brampton has brought him to Milano: Tajon’s dream of playing for the Nerazzurri has just begun,” said an official Inter Milan statement.

Inter have been looking forward to Buchanan’s presence considering they only have one right wing back, namely Denzel Dumfries. Meanwhile, his back-up Juan Cuadrado will be sidelined until April after Achilles surgery.

Buchanan became the first Canadian player to appear in Serie A and has 35 caps and four goals for his national team. He was Canada’s first goal scorer in the World Cup.

Tajon Buchanan has 67 appearances for Club Brugge with five goals and 12 assists.
