The new captain, who announced his first selection, also called forty-year-olds Nicolas Mahut and Édouard Roger-Vasselin to challenge Taiwan in the Davis Cup qualifying round.

The Blues will be led by the French No. 1, Ugo Humbert, winner of the Metz tournament in November and who is now in 20th place in the ATP rankings.
