Leandro Reisnauer was crowned in the 2023 Grand Prix. He was the best of the year in the brown belt category and told NacPop TV that he is looking for resources to compete in Brazil.
The 33-year-old fighter, Leandro Reinauer, told NacPop TV cameras how he was crowned in the ranking of the National Grand Prix, an annual tournament organized by the Argentine Jiu-jitsu Confederation. After a year of competitions, the man from Cañuel ended 2023 at the top of the ranking in the M1 Brown category.
Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a martial art and focuses mainly on hand-to-hand fighting on the ground, using locks, strangulations, immobilizations and takedowns. The main objective of Brazilian jiu-jitsu is to subdue the opponent through a dislocation or strangulation without the need to use blows.
“I was fighting almost every month. I made the podium in almost all of them, I managed to win some of the fights. “I came out first, second, third,” Leandro Reisnauer, a brown belt in the Brazilian martial art, began.
“Before the end of the year I had breakfast that I had won the Grand Prix of all the regions of Argentina of Jiu – Jitsu. So I was more than happy because it is a great achievement that I did not expect”
Leandro has been practicing martial arts for 22 years and 14 years ago he entered Jiu Jitsu: “it is a derivative of Judo, it works on the takedown part. “He submits to his opponent due to dislocations and axiphysis,” he said in relation to the discipline.
In addition to being a fighter, Reisnauer is the director of the “Berserkers Dojo” School, located at Av. Libertad N°1737, where he also teaches taekwondo and kickboxing classes, among other martial disciplines.
“I want to add some sponsors. If a company wants to take over or wants to help, it would be great because that hand is essential for a sport that requires a lot of resources, training and time,” he said in relation to the search for sponsors that he requires to be able to pay for trips and compete in Brazil.
