Junior de Barranquilla Welcomes Yimmi Chará Back to the Team for 2024

Junior de Barranquilla confirmed this Sunday the signing of Yimmi Chará, one of the loudest players in Colombian soccer and eagerly awaited by fans of the current Colombian soccer champion. With this, there are now five new players on the team for 2024.

“YIMMI CHARÁ IS BACK!”, the Barranquilla team published through its social networks, along with an image of the Valle del Cauca soccer player wearing the team’s shirt again.

Chará, 32 years old, returns to the team after his outstanding time between 2017 and 2018, later he left for Atlético Mineiro in Brazil, where he was until 2019. Since the 2020 season he was with the Portland Timbers in the United States.

In his first period on the team, Yimmi Chará played 52 games, scored 18 goals and contributed nine assists. The man from Valle del Cauca won the 2017 Colombia Cup with Tiburon, being eliminated in the quarterfinals of the 2017-II League at the hands of América.

With Chará, there are now five reinforcements that Junior has made official for the first half of 2024, the year in which they will compete in the Super League against Millonarios, defend their title in the rented venue and compete in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores.

The new players of the Barranquilla team to date are Roberto Hinojosa, Fabián Cantillo, Marco Pérez, Víctor Cantillo and Yimmi Chará.
