Jordan Hicks Signs Four-Year, $44 Million Deal with San Francisco Giants

Free agent pitcher Jordan Hicks has signed a four-year contract with the San Francisco Giants.

The deal will pay $44 million for the 27-year-old right-handed gunner.

A third-round pick of the St. Louis Cardinals in 2015, Hicks made his debut in the majors in 2018. The Cardinals traded him to the Toronto Blue Jays on July 30.

In 24 innings with the Toronto team, he won two of his five decisions, while posting an earned run average of 2.63. He also saved four matches.

According to the ESPN network, the Giants should insert Hicks into their starting rotation, he who has mainly been used as a reliever since the start of his career.
