TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Italian League results from Sunday night to Monday morning, 7-8 January 2023, show a series of matches for Week 19. Juventus and AC Milan won, AS Roma drew, while Napoli lost.
Juventus won 2-1 over Salernitana in the match at the Stadio Arechi. They were also able to put pressure on Inter Milan in the competition for the title.
Juve fell behind to Giulio Maggiore’s goal in the 39th minute. However, they got an advantage because Maggiore was then given a red card by the referee in the 53rd minute.
After winning the number of players, the Old Lady was able to turn things around. They got goals from Samuel Iling Junior (65) and Dusan Vlahovic (90+1).
This result does not change Juventus’ position. They are in second place in the standings by collecting 46 points, two points behind Inter Milan, who won half of the season. Salernitana is increasingly sinking at the bottom of the standings with 12 points.

In another match, AC Milan beat Empoli with a score of 3-0 at the Stadio Carlo Castellani. Milan’s goals were scored by Ruben Loftus-Cheek (11), Olivier Giroud’s penalty (31′), and Chaka Traore (88′).
This victory ensures that Milan continues to maintain competition at the top. They are in third position with 39 points. Empoli is in second bottom of the standings (19) with 13 points.
Meanwhile, AS Roma was held by Atalanta with a score of 1-1 in the match at the Olimpico. They conceded first by Teun Koopmeiners’ goal, then responded through Paulo Dybala’s penalty.
Roma is now in eighth place with 29 points. They are one point behind Atalanta in sixth place.
When other big teams were able to gain points, defending champion Napoli lost. They lost 0-3 at Torino headquarters.
Without Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, Walter Mazzarri’s Napoli failed to score for four consecutive matches. They conceded goals from Antonio Sanabria, Nikola Vlasic and Alessandro Buongiorno. At 1-0, Napoli lost Pasquale Mazzocchi who received a red card.
The additional three points brought Torino up to tenth position in the standings with 27 points. Napoli are level above it with a one point advantage.
