Huesca Celebrates Feast of San Vicente with Tradition and Festivities

As tradition dictates, Huesca has celebrated the feast of San Vicente on the eve around the bonfire. Thousands of people from Huesca have attended this event where more than 1,200 kilos of potatoes and about 5,000 servings of sausage and as many servings of churros have been distributed. A special day for the city that has included the participation of the troupe of giants, bigheads and caballicos along with the Gaiters d’a tierra plana.

Like everyone, the public that gathered in the Mosen Demetrio Segura square to see the lighting and burning of the bonfire with thousands of kilos of firewood was very large. An event that began with the performance of the troupe of giants and big heads and culminated with a wide collection of fireworks launched from the University Park. Once these events were over and with the bonfire already lit, thousands of people from Huesca queued to collect the traditional roast potatoes and sausages delivered by the Huesca City Council.

This Monday, a local holiday in Huesca, there will continue to be several events held in the city on the occasion of the festival of San Vicente, patron saint of the city.

At 9 a.m. social badminton tournament by AD Bádminton Huesca.

At 11 a.m. the religious celebration will take place in the Cathedral of Huesca with the presence of the municipal and cathedral chapter.

At 12:30 pm Estirpe de Aragonia and Santa Cecilia will be in charge of the patrol to San Vicente on the Costanilla de Lastanosa.

At 6:30 p.m. at the Huesca Conference Center the XXX Dance and Folklore Exhibition “City of Huesca” will be held with the participation of Roldán del Alto Aragón, Cast, Espacio Danzan and Dolce Vita Savalli.

At 7 p.m. in the Genius Room Diego Peña and Juanko Malavirgen will perform with their comedy shows
