Gladiators of Anzoátegui Ready to Make History in Basketball Champions League Americas

Gladiators of Anzoátegui will face the second window of the fifth edition of the Basketball Champions League Americas, at the Luis Ramos Gymnasium on the Barcelona-Puerto La Cruz axis starting this Saturday, January 20.

The Anzoatiguense armor, current champions of the Professional Basketball Super League (SPB), will face Real Estelí of Nicaragua in the first of two home games. The Venezuelan team comes from a positive first window after registering a victory and a setback on Nicaraguan soil.

The eastern quintet looks reinforced for the upcoming matches in the intercontinental tournament, which will be played for the first time in Venezuela. Gregory Vargas, captain of Gladiators, will be leading the team in this opportunity to add victories in the competition.

“We have a great challenge of defending our home. They are going to play two very difficult games because the other teams have the same goal as us, but we have prepared well and we work very hard to get to Saturday, which is the most important game because it is the first”declared the pilot.

During the press conference organized by the team, the Super Mouse gave some emotional words to Garly Sojo, who died last December and was part of the players who were competing in the competition. “We have a motivation with our brother Garly.
