According to information from Valeurs Actuelles, the French handball player was arrested this Tuesday morning.
Benoît Kounkoud, newly crowned with the French handball team during the Euro, was arrested by the BAC this Tuesday morning and placed in police custody according to information from Current Values . The player from Kielce, Poland, was arrested around 4:40 a.m. for an attempted rape in a nightclub in the 8th arrondissement near the Champs-Élysées.
Drunk, “he allegedly pulled down his pants and attempted to rape a young woman before being held down by a security guard,” a police source detailed to the media. Kounkoud was part of the European champion team this Sunday against Denmark (33-31), bringing France its 4th European crown.
