FC Bayern’s Joshua Kimmich Welcomes Fourth Child

Joshua Kimmich (28) has become a dad again!

The FC Bayern midfield star and his wife Lina have become parents again. After two sons and a daughter, their fourth child was born. Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel (50) on Wednesday before Bayern’s last session in their training camp: “Mom, child and dad are doing well. Joshua will be back in training on Friday.” It has not yet been revealed whether it is a boy or a girl this time.

Kimmich became a dad for the first time in 2019 and for the second time in 2020. At that time he told the “Abendzeitung”: “A child gives life a completely different content, a completely new task is there.” The third child was born in 2022, and the couple married a few months after the birth.

Because Kimmich’s wife was already heavily pregnant, the national player did not fly with his team to the training camp in Faro in Portugal on Sunday. He stayed with the family but continued training. On Monday, Kimmich completed training with the Bayern amateurs. This Thursday he was back on the pitch with the second team and then had his first training session as a father of four from 10.30 a.m. The session lasted around 90 minutes, Kimmich again greeted the other players and showed no star airs.

Kimmich colleague Serge Gnabry (28) also trained again today. After a five-week break, the Bayern star completed his first jogging session on Monday, and this morning he trained with rehabilitation coach Simon Martinello for improvement runs. He ran over 800 meters at a higher pace, followed by another 200 meters of easy jogging. Gnabry suffered a hamstring injury in the 5-1 defeat in Frankfurt at the beginning of December. According to BILD information, he will be out for around three weeks.

Kimmich, on the other hand, should probably be back against Werder on Sunday (3:30 p.m.).
