Emilio Nsue, absent against UD Ibiza, top scorer in the Africa Cup

The Intercity player and captain of Equatorial Guinea, Emilio Nsue, has become the top scorer in the group stage of the 2024 Africa Cup. The 10 of the “Nzalang Nacional” has scored five goals in the first three games of the international competition that has allowed them to achieve first place in group A, and consequently, the pass to the round of 16.

The Equatoguineans have achieved a draw and two victories in the tournament held in the Ivory Coast. The team managed to beat Guinea-Bissau 4-2 thanks to Nsue’s hat trick; and finished the group stage by knocking down the host in a massive 4-0, where the striker added two more goals.

However, Emilio Nsue’s magnificent career with Equatorial Guinea is having an impact on the Intercity, given that Alejandro Sandroni will not be able to count on his top scorer to receive UD Ibiza (whom he already scored in the first round), this Sunday in Antonio Solana.
