On this list, sports director Markus Krösche (43) and colleagues collect shooting stars from the past few years, even after they signed with clubs well above Eintracht’s collar size. The names are then compared at regular intervals using a database with the respective working times.
This means: If one of them doesn’t get a chance as hoped, it could be worth making an inquiry again. The career break list also helped in the case of van de Beek, whom Krösche would have liked to have brought to Leipzig in 2019 and 2020.

Since the national player has only been in the starting line-up 23 times in just over three years at United – also due to injuries and a short loan – van de Beek also sees the chance to prove himself at Eintracht.
