Düsseldorf is the first cup semi-finalist after Krimi

Fortuna Düsseldorf is the first semi-finalist in the German Football Cup. In a duel between two second division teams, the guests in Hamburg prevailed 4-3 on penalties against league table leaders St. Pauli, who had been defeated for the first time this year. Carlo Boukhalfa brought Hamburg into a penalty shootout with his goal to make it 2-2 in the 121st minute. There Christos Tzolis scored the decisive attempt in Panenka style.

New signing Marlon Mustapha was not used for the winners, as was David Nemeth for the losers. The other quarter-final pairings are Hertha – Kaiserslautern, Leverkusen – Stuttgart and Saarbrücken – Mönchengladbach.
