Philippe Clement can forget the Scottish title with Rangers. Arch-rival Celtic secured a 3rd league title in a row with a 0-5 victory at Kilmarnock.
After victory in The Old Firm last Saturday, Celtic needed one more point to crown themselves Scottish champions again.
Not an easy task against Kilmarnock, which had managed to stop the defending champions in the past two matches. But with the title in sight, Celtic were untouchable: they won 0-5 at Rugby Park.
With that big win, Celtic won their 54th national title. With one matchday to go, Rangers can no longer bridge the 6-point gap.
Rangers and coach Philippe Clement will have extra motivation to end Celtic’s run next season. Celtic is one title away from the record of Rangers, who were crowned champions 55 times.
