Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Taekwondo Federation (FEDOTAE) delivered sports equipment to the member associations of the entity this Wednesday.
It was led by the president of the federation, Miguel Camacho, and the co-secretary general, José Ramón Paulino, in an event held at the FEDOTAE premises, at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.
The props were donated to the associations of the Eastern region, the National District and the Santo Domingo province.
Camacho, when making the delivery, said that it is part of the entity’s program, in its interest in promoting taekwondo work at all levels in each of the provinces.
“We started with these provinces, and this Thursday we will convene the associations of the Northern region and on Friday we will have the Southern region,” said the federation.
“We need to spread taekwondo in the provinces, so we understand that the best way to do it is to provide each of them with the tools they need to prepare their athletes,” said Camacho.
Regarding the work program for this new year 2024, Camacho announced that they began with a number of activities.
“This Tuesday, precisely, a group left for Israel, where they will participate in a training base with the team of that nation that is preparing for the Olympic qualifier that they will have,” he said.
He added that it will also serve Dominican athletes in preparation for the Olympic qualifier and other important activities that the country will have during this first part of the year 2024.
For their part, the beneficiaries were very grateful for the donation of the props that will allow them to continue forward in the preparation of their athletes.
“This prop gives us facilities to continue developing our athletes, for which we greatly thank FEDOTAE, in the person of its president Miguel Camacho, for it,” expressed the presidents of the associations present.
The event was also attended by Estevin Acosta, Oscar Benjamín Maldonado, Ramón Terrero and Amaury Guerrero, among other personalities.
