The soap opera continues with Dejounte Murray. In the last week, it seems that the list of candidates to take over the point guard has decreased. And, as usual, the Los Angeles Lakers are the most insistent team. In the conversations between both franchises, it seems that D’Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura and a first-round pick would be the base offer. However, the Hawks insist on including Austion Reaves in the deal, whom the Lakers do not want to part with.
Such a move would cut off the outer rotation of the gold and purple. Especially considering how little (almost nothing) Gabe Vincent has played this season. Atlanta has already resigned itself to getting a package that looks in the face of the one they themselves gave up to acquire Murray. Three first-round picks (and Danilo Gallinari), who now seem irrecoverable. Knowing that draft capital is not going to return, those from Georgia are studying adding young talent already established in the league. And Reaves is the one they are most interested in on Darvin Ham’s squad in order to pair him with Trae Young.

On another note, today the interest that the Lakers have in Donovan Mitchell and Trae Young has emerged. Clearly more ambitious goals than Murray. This, as pointed out Dave McMenamin en ESPNthey have only been internal conversations, so it is unknown what type of package they would offer to remove the outsiders from their respective teams.
