Kunrijuo Tsiba/Danilova achieves an impressive eighth place at the European Championships
Daria Danilova and Michel Tsiba finished in eighth place at the European Figure Skating Championships in Kaunas. The title in Lithuania went to the Italian duo Lucrezia Beccari and Matteo Guarise.
Great freestyle
Danilova and Tsiba had not reached further than sixteenth place at previous editions of the European Championships. This time they rode to the sounds of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac an excellent free freestyle. With a triple Saltsjov, Danilina almost crashed, but with a score of 167.32 they still rose from tenth to eighth place.
Beccari and Guarise have been competing for years, but never made it to the podium. Now they were third after the short freestyle and took advantage of mistakes made by the competition. That earned the Italian duo the European title.
European Figure Skating Championships at NOS
