Bologna FC was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup. Coach Vincenzo Italiano’s team lost 4-5 on penalties against AC Fiorentina in Florence on Tuesday after a goalless 120 minutes.

Stefan Posch was the only player to miss his penalty, the ÖFB team defender was the last Bologna shooter to shoot over the goal. Maxime Lopez then scored the victory for last year’s Coppa Italia finalists.
Bologna hit the crossbar twice in the 34th minute through Joshua Zirkzee and Riccardo Orsolini in the second half.
