Sepp Straka achieved his best placement to date in the world golf rankings on Monday with 17th place. The 30-year-old Viennese finished the PGA tournament in Kapalua, Hawaii, in twelfth place on Sunday. On the final day he played another strong round of 66, only the round of 70 on Saturday prevented him from achieving a better overall placement.
Straka scored 269 strokes, and victory in the $20 million event went to the American Chris Kirk, who won with 263 ahead of his compatriots Sahith Theegala (264) and Jordan Spieth (265).
