The Saga Ballooners (Saga City) of the men’s B-League basketball team won their first Division 2 (B2) championship in the playoffs (PO) last May. The club was promoted to Division 1 (B1) for the first time, a long-awaited goal since its founding in 2018, and has continued to struggle in B1, the highest league in Japan, which began in October. Club founding member Ryota Inoue (28) and Hope Taiki Tsunoda (24) from Kohoku Town looked back on 2023 and talked about their prospects for the new year. (listener, composition: Takanori Kitagawa)
