The exhibition of the painters of Monte Compatri sponsored by the Municipality and organized as part of the Monticiano Christmas ended last Sunday. During the days in which the Tinello Borghese council chamber remained open, more than five hundred visitors were registered. The artists also welcomed visitors during weekends and other holidays, to give those who attended the various events the opportunity to walk between one work and another.

“I appreciated the commitment and quality of the works which confirm how our town is a hotbed of artists who love Monte Compatri – comments the mayor, Francesco Ferri – We have discussed a lot in recent days and thanks to their availability I can say that they will follow further interesting events. Thanks therefore to the ro painters, in particular to Franco Innocenzi and Pietro Catoni who coordinated the installations”.

In recent days, visitors have also been able to discover the Farmer’s Museum, where dozens of objects used by winemakers over the years are kept, from ancient barrels to tools, from plows to vintage photos.

“We are working to complete the regulatory adaptation and allow more frequent openings of this museum which preserves the memory of our ancestors – adds the Heritage councilor, Cristian Buglia – Thanks to Giovanni Olivieri who with tenacity and dedication is helping us to enhance this heritage collected over the years together with Franco D’Acuti”.
