This past weekend, the 2024 Regional Indoor Archery Championships were held in the Alcarreña town of Alovera. Arcoclub Las Lomas participated with its 3 archers in 5 different modalities. Arantxa Serrano in Composite bow and Naked Bow, Mari Jota in Longbow bow and Alfredo Serrano in Olympic bow and Longbow bow.
On Saturday, January 13, it was the turn of precision in which about 30 archers participated to achieve first places in both the compound bow and the Olympic recurve bow. Arantxa Serrano in Composite bow after two very similar qualifying rounds she was positioned in 4th position, falling in the semifinals which would allow her to get on the podium in 3rd position. Arantxa climbed back onto the box to collect the trophy for 3rd place in the FCMTA Precision League for the 2022-23 season. Alfredo Serrano in the Olympic recurve bow had some very poor rounds and failed to qualify for the qualifying rounds.
On Sunday the 14th, the Traditional, Longbow and Naked bow championship was held, in which about 100 archers from the region would participate. Mari J Jaén qualified in 2nd position with the Longbow bow, and after the qualifying rounds she was proclaimed Regional Champion. In addition to her trophy as regional champion, she stood on the podium again to collect the runner-up trophy of La Liga FCMTA 2022-23 for Longbow.
Arantxa repeated, but with the Naked bow, she qualified in 4th position, passing the ¼ eliminator, falling in the semifinals, returning to the box in 3rd position. Finally, Alfredo also repeated this time with the Longbow, qualifying in 1st position, passing 1/8 and falling in the ¼ final. Arcoclub Las Lomas returned with 5 trophies, 3 from the regional and 2 from the league, very satisfactory results for the club.
