Aguas Décima 30 Year Archery Tournament Kicks Off Annual Celebration

In January 2025, Aguas Décima, the Valdivia water company, will turn thirty years old. And to begin preparations on the way to the celebration, this Sunday the first of four dates of an annual Archery tournament will be held in his honor.

Thanks to an alliance between the health company and the Los Torreones de Valdivia Club, this Sunday from 9:30 a.m. the first date of the circuit will be held, which was baptized as the “Aguas Décima 30 Years Annual Archery Tournament.”

On this occasion, the event will open with the “Field Distances Known” modality or league, a circuit of 14 outdoor stations to hit the targets distributed throughout the meadows and forests that make up the recreation area of ​​the Cuesta Soto complex. , located in the sector of the same name, upstream from the city.

The invitation is especially addressed to archery lovers, and to all those who want to learn more about this sporting discipline that in recent years has been gaining growing followers in Chile.

The tournament is sponsored by the Chilean Archers Association, affiliated to the International Field Archery Association (IFAA), which will allow competitors to add points in the specialty rankings.

The zonal manager of Aguas Décima, Carlos Barboza, indicated that “starting this Sunday we will begin the countdown so that in January 2025 we will celebrate our three decades.”

“In that context, the tournament is a different way to approach our next anniversary, opening our facilities for sport through a novel discipline that is consistent with our strategic objectives, that relates us to the community, and that shares our zeal. for the care of nature,” the executive stressed.

For his part, the president of the Los Torreones Club, Hans Lungenstrass, highlighted the alliance with Aguas Décima that allows this sport to be promoted in the region.

“Archery is outside the typical canons of competitions to which we are accustomed, and its potential in the region goes hand in hand with the benefits of the territory and its privileged nature,” he said.

“In this sense, the tournament will be held all year round in natural spaces of Aguas Décima, which in turn helps us spread and develop archery from the south of Chile,” said the club owner.
