This Saturday, December 2 in Rennes, the national sports kata cup took place. In the minimal category, Yffiniac Judo presented in this cup a duo composed of Juliette Poidevin and Loïc Poullain. After performing their performance (the three series of Nage No Kata), the two judokas obtained the superb score of 387.5, which places them on the second step of the podium, just a small point behind the Le Havre duo.
In parallel with this cup, the Brittany championship took place. The duo finished first Breton duo and became champion of Brittany, thus obtaining their qualification for the French championship which will take place in Verquin, in Pas-de-Calais. “Yffiniac is the only club in the department to practice this very demanding discipline with very specific criteria, under the expert guidance of Monique Elinguel, 4th dan professor assisted by Philippe Blanchard,” notes the president of Yffiniac Judo.
