Denver Nuggets – Golden State Warriors (Monday from 8:30 p.m. live on DAZN and ProSieben MAXX)

Have the Warriors turned the corner? With five wins in a row, the Dubs at least have a positive record again, although with the exception of the OT win against Boston there was a lot of windfalls (2x Portland, Washington, Brooklyn). Coach Steve Kerr is also relying on more youth because of Draymond Green’s suspension. He assigned rookie Brandin Podziemski to Steph Curry’s side, Jonathan Kuminga takes on the Green role and second-round pick Trayce Jackson-Davis does a more than good job as backup center.

It was rumored before the season that the No. 57 pick could have a chance in the rotation. Now the time has come and TJD knows how to convince. With his athleticism, the rookie provides an element that the Dubs don’t have on Big and is particularly impressive in his interaction with Chris Paul, who now finally has a partner for his lobs again.

And how much do the Dubs need his athleticism? Here’s a wild stat: In just 203 minutes, Jackson-Davis leads the Warriors with 13 blocks on the season, while Klay Thompson has the same total in 852 minutes. In the last four games, the rookie has averaged a double-double of 11.8 points and 10.3 rebounds in just 22 minutes.
