Whe is Lower Austria’s young athlete of the month for November? The users on NÖN.at can now have a say.

And this is how it works: Sports organizations and SPORT.LAND.Niederösterreich nominate those hopefuls for the future who have particularly made people sit up and take notice with their sporting achievements in the past month.

Fans can vote on NÖN.at for ten days. At the same time, a jury of experts weighs in – two-thirds of their judgment counts towards the weighted overall ranking. The expert jury is composed as follows: representatives of all Lower Austrian sports umbrella organizations, sports media (NÖN, ORF NÖ), Lower Austrian Insurance, Lower Austrian State School Council, Lower Austrian State Government Sports Department, Lower Austrian Sports Center as well as former prominent Lower Austrian sports personalities (since 2017 also the annual winner of the NÖN public election at the end of the year will be part of the expert jury for one year each). The fans can fill a third of the points account. And get excited when the young athlete of the month is presented on NÖN.at.

The nominees:

Henning BEIERL 15 years, bobsleigh, BSC Himberg 5. In the junior world cup in monobob and qualification for the Youth Olympic Games
Alexandra ROOM 17 years old, tennis, Brühl Mödlinger Tennis Club Austrian indoor national champion in the general class
Lisa GRABNER 22 years, judo, JC Wimpassing bronze medal at the U23 European Championships
Timo HAMMARBERG 19 years old, beach volleyball, VCU Wiener Neustadt silver medal at the U21 World Championship
Katharina WILD 16 years old, sports aerobics, FAC Stockerau 28th place at the Junior European Championships, also 16th place with the team
Pia HUBER 20 years, fencing, Mödling Fencing Union 9th place in the U23 European Cup and qualification for the U23 European Championship
Alina NOVAK 20 years, weightlifting, AKH Vösendorf 17th place at the U20 World Championship in a duel with improvement of the national U20/U23 records

Participation is up to and including 15th December possible.
