His return is not certain. Nothing is closed yet. Víctor Cantillo and Fuad Char will only meet, this Thursday in Barranquilla, to look at possibilities and try to arrange the midfielder’s return to Junior after ending his contractual relationship with Corinthians in Brazil.
They already agreed to meet by telephone. Cantillo is in his homeland, Riofrío, Magdalena, enjoying his days of rest and will travel to Barranquilla to speak with the club’s shareholder, this Thursday, privately.
The information was confirmed to EL HERALDO by Fuad Char himself. “Yes, Cantillo is coming to Barranquilla tomorrow to talk to me,” said the former senator, while clarifying that it is not a simple mission due to financial issues.
“He has high economic aspirations. I hope it can be made within our reach,” she noted.
The visible head of Junior’s leadership had expressed in another interview with EL HERALDO the difficulties he saw in signing Cantillo. However, he left a little window open for his return.
At least there was a call to set up a date, open options, listen to offers and exchange words that could lead to the happy ending that a large part of Junior’s fans expect.
The midfielder helped the ‘Tiburón’ to reach two League titles (2018 and 2019) and one Copa Colombia (2017), and reach the final of the 2018 Copa Sudamericana.
