Due to the Gaza War, the Israeli club’s home game was moved to the Serbian capital. No spectators were allowed at the encounter in the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.

In the first two minutes of the game, the Towers were the dominant team. After that, the duel took the expected course. Hapoel became increasingly stronger and took a 35:23 lead at the end of the first quarter. In the second half of the game, the Hanseatic League held up better, especially offensively, but were unable to reduce the deficit.

However, the game was not decisive. Hamburg fought its way back to 68:69 and 83:84 in the third quarter, but was unable to put the hosts in any further trouble and ultimately lost by a long shot. The best thrower in head coach Benka Barloschky’s team was Aleksander Dziewa with 23 points.
